Brightkite is the next generation of text messaging. Brightkite allows you to chat with 25 people at once for free. Brightkite was founded by Jonathon Linner, JP Virolainen and Rob Lawson, and a passionate bunch of role players helping to grow the Brightkite community every day.

As a student, this app would be very efficient because it could communicate to 25 people very fast. And it can be used by our mobile phones too, it saves us more money to use Brightkite than have us buy load for our networks. We can also share photos and locations using Brightkite. It is a new social networking site that uses geographic location to keep you tuned in to what your friends are doing.
