Meebo is an online tool that connects you to people and lets you have conversation with them through messages. It is a social site that was based on the abilities of IM (instant messaging) when it was developed. Meebo was created by Sandy Jen, Seth Sternberg & Elaine Wherry. Students, especially in college, have a lot of group activities, group projects, etc. They need to work in teams for certain assignments. But most of the problem is that not all members are near each other. They can’t just meet up for 3 hours just for the sake of doing something through the internet! Let us be merciful to mankind and let this job be easier and hassle-free for these students. Thus Meebo comes along! It helps student interact through IM to their schoolmates to be able to chat and discuss with them their homework and projects without going to a certain place. Doing “group” projects at home but experiencing teamwork at the same time.
As a group, we believe that Meebo is a very useful tool that can be used anywhere and anytime. Instant messaging without installing anything makes it very accessible and easy. It is a very handy tool that is used to connect to your friends and other people. Lastly, we really believe it is a good application for on-the-spot planning and chatting!
