Jaiku's goal is to bring people closer together by enabling them to have conversations. It offers a way to connect with the people you care about by sharing updates with them on the Web, IM, and SMS- as well as through third-party applications built by other developers using the Jaiku API. Jaiku is a part of Google. The service is maintained by volunteer Google engineers on their spare time.

They are given the option whether they want to do it online or using their cell phone. Students can make the most out of this online application by texting or chatting with their friends unlimitedly during assignments and group works.
As a group, we believe that this online application is very productive and would increase the productivity level of the users as well because even anywhere they are they could easily communicate by means of chatting like doing assignment, asking questions or other stuffs. Lastly, it provides comfort to the users and less hassle.
